Welcome to Hotel Magasin1

Our rooms are named after orchids that grow on Öland.
Swedish orchids typically thrive in lime-rich soil, which makes Öland well known as the land of orchids. Of the approximately 50 orchid species found in Sweden, at least 35 grow on Öland (different species have adapted to specific habitats).
You are warmly welcome to stay in Johannesnycklar, Krutbrännaren, “Adam och Eva”, or one of our other charming rooms.

The best time to visit Öland to see the orchids in bloom is in May and especially June, but different orchid species continue to bloom throughout the summer.

Our goal is to offer our guests a wonderful and relaxing stay. So please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything you’re missing during your visit—we truly appreciate all the feedback you can give us!

Baby cribs are available upon request. Please contact the reception.

Bar

In summer, the bar is open daily from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
During the rest of the year, it’s open from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

Beaches

There are four different beaches to choose from in central Mörbylånga.
Feel free to ask us for more information.

Bike Rental

Ölands Cykeluthyrning is located right next door to the hotel. Phone: 0761-03 98 49.

Bus Connections

The bus station is located right next to the hotel.
You’ll find more information at kalmarlanstrafik.se, or just ask us at reception.

Check-Out

Check-out time is no later than 11:00 AM.

CLEANING

Rooms are cleaned daily upon request.
For guests staying multiple nights, we change bed linen every fourth day.

Coffee & Tea

Your room is equipped with a kettle and mugs, so you can enjoy coffee or tea whenever you like.
Our beautiful mugs are handmade by Resmo Pottery.
If you’d like to buy mugs or other lovely ceramic pieces, we highly recommend a visit to Karin and Ulf in Resmo.

Conference

Hotel Magasin1 has a conference room suitable for groups of 5–18 people.
It’s ideal for day conferences as well as short or extended retreats.

Duvet & Pillow

Each bed is made with one pillow. Extra pillows are available in the wardrobe.
If you would like a different or additional pillow or duvet, please contact the reception.

Emergency Exits

There are several emergency exits marked with green signs.
An evacuation plan showing the nearest exit is available in your room.
The assembly point is by the lavender on the seaside terrace.

FIRE ALARM

An evacuation plan showing the nearest emergency exit is available in every room.
If the alarm goes off, please proceed to the assembly point on the outdoor terrace in front of the hotel.

Gym

We collaborate with Malkars Gym, located on the town square.
You can work out there for SEK 100 per session—ask the reception for more details.

Ironing

Iron and ironing board are available free of charge—please contact the reception

Luggage Room

Let us know at the reception, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Laundry

Laundry and ironing service is available upon request (according to price list).
Laundry bags are available at the reception.

Other Items

Toothbrushes and other hygiene items are available for purchase at the reception.

Phone Chargers

Chargers are available to borrow at the reception.

Parkering

Parking is free along the streets of Mörbylånga—just follow standard parking rules.
You may park on the street in front of the hotel, but please note that you must keep at least 10 meters from intersections.

Radio

If you’d like to borrow a radio, please contact the reception.

Safe Deposit Box

A safe deposit box for storing valuables is available at the reception.

Sewing Kit

A complimentary sewing kit is available at the reception.

Shoe Polishing

Basic shoe cleaning supplies are available at the reception.
Professional shoe shining can also be arranged at Magasin1—just agree on a drop-off and pick-up time.

SMOKING

The hotel is entirely non-smoking, both indoors and outdoors.
We kindly refer all smoking to public areas outside the hotel grounds.
A cleaning fee of SEK 2,000 will be charged if smoking occurs in the room.

TAP WATER

Our tap water is safe and good to drink.
